Liquent products provide your organization with the agility, speed and reliability needed to turn the accelerating pace of change into a competitive

a lapel pin and certificate, enabling you to display your achievement with pride.

In addition to the exam, Liquent also offers a one-day review class to help you prepare for the exam. Review classes may be taught at a Liquent
training facility or on-site at your location.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who should consider taking the exam?
A: Any person who wishes to be certified should have:
- At least 6 months of full-time experience using the software
- For CoreDossier Publishers- Completion of the Publishing, Advanced Publishing, and Templates classes on-site or at a Liquent training center.
- For CoreDossier Administrators – Completion of the Administration class on-site or at a Liquent training center.
- For EZsubs – Completion of user training on-site or at a Liquent training center.
- For all exams – Certification Prep Class
Q: If I don't have the credentials listed above, will I be allowed to take the exam?
A: Yes. You can still take the exam if you do not have all of the recommended experience and/or courses. However, we strongly recommend using them
as a guide, as the examination is quite challenging. You may want to refresh your understanding of certain concepts by attending a course or
two if you have not done so in a while (more than a year) before taking the exam.
Additionally, you may want to register for the exam preparation course the day before the exam is given.
Q: What is the format of the exam?
A: The exam is paperless and consists of two parts. For the Publisher certification, one portion will be a practical portion in which the examinee
will be given a report to publish electronically using CoreDossier or EZsubs and following certain guidelines that we have established. For the
Administration certification, the examinee will be asked to configure the system with certain settings. For all exams, the other portion is a
written portion, which will consist of real-life scenarios, true-false, multiple choice and other questions which will be completed in a Word
document. Both portions will be completed in the same day.
Q: Can I use the online help, manuals or student guides from courses to assist me on either part of the exam?
A. No. There is NO help whatsoever during either exam. The online help will be disabled, and we will not allow the use of any manuals, student
guides, notes or other paper or electronic test aids.
Q: What kinds of questions should I expect to see? Is there a “practice exam” or sample questions that I can try?
A: We do not provide a “practice exam” or sample questions. However, we can certainly tell you what to expect. On the practical portion
of the exam, you will be performing everyday tasks (such as assigning and transforming documents, working with the outline, and publishing volumes)
with the software. The written exam will consist of many different types of questions, including multiple choice, true-false, and real-life scenarios.
Please review the Course Description of the exam before registering.
Q: Are there topics or areas that will NOT be covered on either exam?
A: Yes. No questions will be asked about add on modules such as the FDA Compiler or Submission Accelerator. Publishers will not be expected to
know detailed technical information of the software (installation, etc.). Administrators will not be expected to know detailed information about
publishing. Finally, you will not be asked any questions that deal strictly with the locations of tabs and other entities (such as “On
what tab can I modify cover pages?”), nor will you be responsible for understanding and using fragment containers, or global and exception
documents.
Q: How long will I have to complete each part of the test?
A: You will have three hours to complete each portion of the exam. However, you will not be able to go back and work on a part of the test that
has already been completed.
Q: How will my score be determined? Are both parts equally weighted in determining the score, or is one part more important than the other?
A: Each part of your exam will be scored individually, and then the two percentage scores you receive will be averaged to compute your final score.
For example, if you receive a 90% on the practical portion and an 80% on the written portion, your score for the entire exam would be 85%. Each
score is weighted equally.
Q: When will I know the results of my exam? And are there different levels of certification?
A: As soon as we have corrected the exam and verified the results we will send you a letter. If you pass the exam, your final score will determine
your level of certification, as listed below.
- If your overall score is 70-74%, you will receive Certified Publisher / Administrator Certification.
- If your overall score is 75-84%, you will receive Certified Advanced Publisher / Administrator Certification.
- If your overall score is 85% or greater, you will receive Certified Expert Publisher / Administrator Certification.
Q: What if I don't pass the first time? Can I take the exam again?
A. Yes. You can take the exam as many times as necessary to pass it, but the fee is the same each time you take the exam.
Q: How do I sign up for the exam? Will it appear on the training schedule?
A: Please contact the training team before registering for the exam.
