PDFaqua® Print Control & Document Watermarking

Now you can effectively manage and control documents such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and master batch records in a highly controlled document environment. PDFaqua extends Documentum security by enabling it to release documents that reflect the users' rights and authority.

PDFaqua puts the power of controlling mission-critical documents back in your hands by eliminating manual procedures and establishing a highly efficient electronic environment with rules-based security.

With PDFaqua, you can define view and/or print- time document access & watermarking and the overlaying of document metadata onto document headers, footers and bodies 'on-the-fly' as the document is released from the document base, ensuring that the document security settings always reflect the user's permissions.

  • Control who can view and print documents based on their document type, their status (attribute values), user name and security-level.
  • Create and manage hierarchical policies that determine how, when, where, by whom, and if, a document can be viewed and/or printed.
  • Manage and control printing, reprinting and destroying of controlled documents.
  • Build a complete audit trail of the printing, reprinting and destroying of controlled documents.
  • Apply rules of Documentum client or web browser-based client access.

Print Services Module (PSM)

PSM is an additional component of PDFaqua that enables administrators to manage the centralized, server-based (rather than local, user-based) printing of Controlled Documents. With the PSM component, document administrators can for example control the recipients, the designated printers, the copy numbers, and the appearance of the printed output of the controlled printing process. In addition it provides a complete Documentum-based audit trail of the printing history of such documents. PDFaqua provides an environment that enables organizations to have a fully controlled Documentum system by specifying policies which reflect their business needs.
