Project Manager - Horsham, PA
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the planning, definition, design, and delivery of consulting-based projects to the client. When applicable, the Senior Project Manager will lead a team of technical, application and/or regulatory consultants in fulfilling the service requirements of the CSO contract(s). Furthermore, the Senior Project Manager will serve as a focal point for all communication with the client on matters pertaining to the assigned service contract. This position may also serve as a Program Manager on large client engagements, overseeing the activities of other Project Managers within CSO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with LIQUENT Sales to define and finalize client contracts (prior to engagement).
- Conducting and documenting early planning and definition of projects (with client).
- Determining project resource requirements.
- Developing and adhering to project plan and schedules.
- Scheduling of appropriate resources throughout the duration of the project (maintenance, support, and publishing resources).
- Managing of project budget.
- Providing knowledge of applicable LIQUENT methodology and product expertise to CSO teams.
- Facilitating and documenting regular team status meetings (with monthly report to CSO Director).
- Escalating and resolving project critical issues (as documented by team and/or client).
- Collecting and archiving all project deliverables.
- Authoring 'project closedown' report.
- Other duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring contractual change control procedures are instituted
- Promoting and ensuring the use of quality processes per validation and SOP documentation
- Identifying and communicating potential new business opportunities
- Authoring and delivering feedback/reviews for CSO project consultants
- Managing internal LIQUENT projects for outstanding needed task completion
- Supervisory responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and mentoring to CSO Project Managers.
- Providing project team leadership for CSO projects.
- Providing support for CSO Global Director.
- Ensuring project task entry for CSO resource time-tracking.
- Serving as an advocate to CSO consultants during reviews and when assigning project resources.
- The following educational background and/or work experience is required:
- 4-year college degree in life sciences or technology-related discipline.
- One to two years CoreDossier publishing and/or implementation experience.
- End-to-end regulatory submission publishing experience required.
- Knowledge of regulatory submission content and formats.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to articulate procedures and solutions to multi-level team.
- Strong interpersonal skills to conduct successful client interactions.
- Extensive and successful project management (or team leader) experience in delivering large budget, highly visible, mission critical system implementation projects on time, on budget, and within the agreed upon scope
- Proficiency working in Microsoft Windows environment and with Windows-based applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office products (including MS Project), Adobe Acrobat, desktop publishing and graphics packages.
- Experience with CoreDossier and other LIQUENT products.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a complex environment.
- Ability to learn new technology and to apply to business needs.
- Experience with document/content management systems.
- Experience with software implementations.
- Understanding of software validation concepts and the ability to execute against defined plans.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical industry and drug submission process.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Problem formulation and solution-oriented reasoning is critical.
- Ability to articulate and document procedural or product related issues under time pressures imposed by business-critical deadlines.
- PMP Certification is desirable.
